About Daneshgar Architects

Daneshgar Architects is an award-winning Vienna-based architecture studio with projects across Europe and Asia. Founded in 2000, the practice is known for uniting cultural depth with contemporary European design and a strong commitment to sustainability.

For more than two decades, the studio has worked in housing, cultural buildings, vertical extensions, sustainable refurbishment, and urban design. Its work focuses on circular construction, CO₂ reduction strategies, and creating new spaces by building on existing structures. This approach preserves land resources and strengthens cities from within. Projects by Daneshgar Architects have been recognised by respected institutions including WAF, BIG SEE, ICONIC Awards, FIABCI, The Plan Award, the EAE Award, Baumeisterpreis, klimaaktiv, and the Wiener Stadterneuerungspreis.

With extensive experience leading interdisciplinary teams, the firm guides projects from initial concept to completion. Members of the studio have contributed to academia through teaching at TU Wien and through leadership roles such as the Directorship of the Architecture Programme at Webster University Vienna. Daneshgar Architects has been invited to lecture at universities worldwide, including CUNY New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tehran, and Istanbul.

The studio actively participates in international discourse on sustainability, urban innovation, and architectural practice. Its team members have served as jury participants for architectural competitions in Europe and Asia, including for Nippon Group, AYDA International, the Mirmiran Award, the MEMAR Award, and competitions in Tokyo, Singapore, Istanbul, Tehran, Moscow, and Kaliningrad.

Work by Daneshgar Architects has been exhibited at the Museum of Architecture and appears in public architectural archives and international media. At the centre of the studio’s philosophy is the belief that architecture is an act of cultural responsibility. Every project aims to shape experiences, inspire hope, and contribute to a more beautiful and sustainable world.
